Criminal opens fire at cops, arrested

NEW DELHI:The Delhi police arrested a kingpin of a Mewat gang, Dilshad, last night, said a police officer today.

The Delhi police arrested a kingpin of a Mewat gang, Dilshad, last night, said a police officer today.

One countrymade pistol, one fired round .315 bore and four live rounds of .315 bore,, said the officer.

Yesterday, head constable Vijay and constable Sandeep were on patrolling in the area. At midnight, they noticed a car and there were five suspicious occupants.

The policemen stopped the car and asked them to come out for searching. The driver came out of the car and pushed the head constable and in the meanwhile other four also came out and started assaulting the policemen.

In this commotion Dilshad took out a pistol and opened fire on the constable but he saved himself somehow narrowly. — TNS
