Ex-Indian Twitter executive Parminder joins Singapore’s Mediacorp

SINGAPORE: A former senior Indian executive at Twitter has been appointed Chief Commercial and Digital Officer at Singapore’s broadcaster Mediacorp.



Singapore, March 20

A former senior Indian executive at Twitter has been appointed Chief Commercial and Digital Officer at Singapore’s broadcaster Mediacorp.

Parminder Singh most recently served as Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Middle East & North Africa and India at Twitter and was Google’s Managing Director, Display Solution Sales, Asia Pacific.

Singh, has spent over 20 years in global companies.

Shaun Seow, CEO, Mediacorp explained: “Our monetisation efforts need to be more closely aligned with our digital product development, operations, audience acquisition and content marketing efforts”.

Singh is to help Mediacorp chart digital roadmap ahead, broadening and deepening the company’s engagement with online audiences.

“I’m excited about joining a pioneering organisation focused on maintaining leadership in an evolving landscape,” said Singh.

“The convergence of online and offline offers exciting possibilities. I’m particularly thrilled by the opportunity to combine Mediacorp’s digital and mainstream media assets to deliver more complete and compelling solutions for our clients,” said Singh.

Mediacorp has over 50 products and brands in four languages English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. — PTI
