Amritsar: The AAP''s Amritsar unit has demanded the deployment of paramilitary forces in the district, alleging that the police are committing atrocities on its volunteers at the behest of the SAD-BJP alliance.



Amritsar: The AAP's Amritsar unit has demanded the deployment of paramilitary forces in the district, alleging that the police are committing atrocities on its volunteers at the behest of the SAD-BJP alliance. Party candidates Rajpreet Singh Randhawa, Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar and Jaswinder Singh Jahangir alleged that AAP volunteers in Attari and Ajnala were being threatened and beaten up by the aides of Akali MLA Amarpal Singh Bony. Randhawa stated that on Tuesday evening, party circle head Balwinder Singh, his younger brother Surinder Singh and father Sukhjinder Singh were attacked as they had installed AAP hoardings on the walls of their house at Mattenangal village in Ajnala.
