Centre ‘wants’ ONGC to bail out Gujarat Petro: Cong

DEHRADUN: Congress workers, led by state women’s Congress vice-president and Manorama Dobriyal Sharma Foundation’s president Asha Manorama Dobriyal Sharma, have started the ‘Charka Soot Andolan’ against the Centre alleging that the Modi government wants to transfer debt of Gujarat Petro to ONGC.



Dehradun, December 8

Congress workers, led by state women’s Congress vice-president and Manorama Dobriyal Sharma Foundation’s president Asha Manorama Dobriyal Sharma, have started the ‘Charka Soot Andolan’ against the Centre alleging that the Modi government wants to transfer debt of Gujarat Petro to ONGC.

Asha Manorama staged a protest outside the main gate of the ONGC, Dehradun. She said the ONGC had been asked to acquire loss-making Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation, which would result in the ONGC incurring a loss of Rs 30,000 crore. Harjit Singh, Harish Nagpal and Mukesh Rajput took part in the protest. —TNS
