The Chandigarh Golf Club team of Rajesh, Rakesh, Monty and Sanjay Kothari won the CWT Inter-Club Caddy Tournament that was played at the Chandigarh Golf Club today.
The event was organised by the Caddie Welfare Trust — an initiate of the members of the Delhi Golf Club. The Delhi club has proposed to help the Chandigarh Golf Club set up a similar program for their caddies.
In the 18-hole individual competition, Pramod won the title. The winner was eventually decided in a playoff, which Pramod won on the first hole. Pramod and Ramesh had been tied for the top spot at 76. Pramod claimed the winner’s cheque of Rs 10,000, while Ramesh got the runner-up cheque for Rs 9,000.
"We really enjoyed the tournament," said Monty.
