The Chief Minister’s Flying Squad has started probing the complaints about the issuance of project completion certificates to some industrial plot allottees, setting the alarm bells ringing for officials of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC) in Bahadurgarh.

Sources say the CM Flying Squad comprising around 40 officials reached the Industrial Area in Bahadurgarh yesterday and conducted physical verification of industrial units there.

The team members took away some record for further investigation after inspecting official record pertaining to factories. They also questioned some HSIIDC officials, besides interacting with factory owners, sources add.

“The complaint pertained to the issuance of project completion certificates to some allottees who were yet to start production even after the expiry of the prescribed period. This certificate should have not been issued without initiating production,” said sources.

An HSIIDC officer said there were two schemes in the policy to obtain project completion certificates. First, on starting production after installation of the machinery, and second, after making 125 per cent construction in the permissible covered area of the industrial plot. The allottees need not do any production in the second scheme.

The role of HSIIDC officials associated with the process of issuing project completion certificates

is under the scanner. “We have started physical verification of the factories in the first phase of the inquiry . The findings of the inquiry will be sent to Chief Minister for further action,” said a member of the CM Flying Squad.
