Cong’s jumbo list of secys

Chandigarh, June 30

After announcing a jumbo list of vice-presidents and general secretaries, the PPCC has finalised a huge list of secretaries.

A senior leader said that there are nearly 300 secretaries. Instead of releasing the list in toto, the PPCC office is releasing the list in phases. Those who were issued letters today were seen distributing sweets at the PPCC office.

There is, however, no word on the pending list of district presidents of Nawanshahr and Ropar. In May, the AICC had announced an oversized state unit comprising 259 members, including 36 vice-presidents, 96 general secretaries and 35 permanent and 24 special invitees. The list had 68 executive committee members.

The PPCC will be more than 500-member strong, double the size of the committee when Partap Bajwa was the state president. — TNS
