Governor Acharya Devvrat reached Una today. Deputy Commissioner Vikas Labroo briefed him about the working of various departments in the district.
The Governor pushed for rainwater conservation. He showed interest in new agriculture interventions being implemented by farmers of the district.
State Sahitya Academy awardee and Una District Public Relations Officer Gurmit Bedi presented his latest book titled ‘Sookhe Patton Ka Raag’ to the Governor, who said literature was not only the mirror of society, but also showed the right path.
The Governor appreciated the fact that Gurmit Badi had also written a mobile caller tune on ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ theme, which had been officially adopted by the district administration for the save girl child campaign.
