Chandigarh, November 9

DAV College, Sector 10, won the overall title in the Panjab University Inter-College kayaking (men and women) Championship at the Sukhna Lake here today.

In the men’s category, DAV College finished first with 58 points, while GGDSD College, Sector 32, finished second with 43 points. Sri Guru Gobind Singh College (SGGS), Sector 26, finished third with 25 points followed by BKS, Muhar, with 22 points.

In the women’s category, DAV College scored 34 points to win the trophy followed by SGGS College with 33 points and BKS, Muhar, with 22 points.        

Meanwhile, SGGS College won the overall trophy in the Inter-College canoeing Championship for men. The team scored 60 points, while DAV College, Sector 10, finished second with 47 points. GGDSD College, Sector 32, finished third with 33 points. In the women’s category, Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, finished first with 30 points. DAV College claimed the second position with 23 points, while GNG, Ludhiana, finished third with 15 points.
