Chandigarh, April 25

Education Minister Aruna Chaudhary today cancelled deputation orders of all those teachers and employees working in schools other than their place of posting.

The minister said the decision had been taken after it was brought to her notice that many schools across the state had teachers and employees on deputation, affecting the academics in schools where they were permanently posted.

“The interim arrangement of teachers is playing havoc with the future of students from the academic point of view,” she said, adding that the decision had been taken for proper utilisation of staff in government schools.

Chaudhary further said all District Education Officers had been directed to send back teachers to their place of posting.

The District Education Officers would have to seek permission of the Director, Public Instructions, before sending any teacher on deputation, she added.
