Gidderbaha, January 14

Gidderbaha MLA Amrinder Singh ‘Raja Warring’ today submitted his reply to the Returning Officer.

The Returning Officer had yesterday issued him a show-cause notice for allegedly defying the model code of conduct for the elections by taking along more persons than the permissible limit while filing his nomination papers on Thursday.

In his reply, Warring claimed that he did not violate the code and took as many persons as are allowed by the EC.

“I had come with my wife, two children, advocate, a proposer and another election agent to file my nomination,” stated Warring in the reply.

Meanwhile, Anand Sagar Sharma, SDM-cum-Returning Officer, Gidderbaha, said, “I have got the reply and will see the video footage tomorrow to take any action in this regard.”
