Former INLD leader joins Congress

AMBALA: Former district INLD president Balwinder Punia, along with his supporters, today joined the Congress party in the presence of former Union minister and Rajya Sabha member Kumari Selja here.

Former district INLD president Balwinder Punia, along with his supporters, today joined the Congress party in the presence of former Union minister and Rajya Sabha member Kumari Selja here.

Punia had contested the Assembly elections from Ambala City in 2014.

While addressing a gathering, Selja said the Congress was a secular political party so people from all sections were supporting the party.

She said the BJP had been damaging the communal harmony and the brotherhood for its political interests.
