Four boys flee from Snehalaya

CHANDIGARH: Exposing chinks in the security at Snehalaya, a shelter home for destitute and abandoned children in Maloya, four juveniles managed to flee from there this evening.

Exposing chinks in the security at Snehalaya, a shelter home for destitute and abandoned children in Maloya, four juveniles managed to flee from there this evening.

A complaint in this regard was received at the Maloya police station. Inspector Ram Rattan, SHO, said the four boys fled from Snehalaya around 6 pm. The SHO said efforts were being made to trace the juveniles.

Sources said the staff of Snehalaya, after finding the boys missing, launched a search operation. After failing to locate the inmates, they approached the police.

Search operations were carried out at bus stands and nearby areas.
