Three special teams have been constituted by the police to nab the killers of gangster-turned-politican Jaswinder Singh Bhullar alias Rocky, a Fazilka resident who was shot dead near Parwanoo yesterday.

Parampal Palla, the driver of the deceased, has identified the two assailants as Jaipal Singh, a known gangster and his associate Tirath. The Himachal Pradesh police have also obtained the pictures of other members of the Jaipal gang from their counterparts in Punjab and a search was on to trace the assailants.

The involvement of two other members, Sandeep and Aslam, was also being probed as a bike bearing a Haryana number was also found from the crime spot.

The police teams have been sent to Punjab, Haryana and other neighbouring states to nab the assailants. The police were also scanning the calls detail records of two Punjab police personal deputed to guard Rocky. Since they were travelling in a separate vehicle and had failed to open retaliatory fire on the assailants their role has come under a scanner.

A thorough investigation is under way in the case which was executed after meticulous planning.

The DSP, Parwanoo, said the post-mortem examination of the deceased was conducted at IGMC, Shimla. The report stated that two bullets had hit in the head of the victim.
