Jalandhar: The three Left parties in Punjab — CPI, CPI(M) and RMPI — on Wednesday declared the first list of candidates for 52 seats. The CPI will contest 25 seats, CPI (M) 14 and RMPI 13 .

Addressing mediapersons here, Hardev Singh Arshi of the CPI, Charan Singh Virdi of the CPM and Mangat Ram Pasla of the RMPI said they would contest the elections jointly for the Left democratic alternative. They said the SAD-BJP government, Congress and AAP had been trying to lure voters with a “bogus” dreams. They said these parties followed neoliberalism. tns
