Chandigarh, January 31
The concluding day of the seventh Chandigarh National Crafts Mela at Kalagram witnessed an unprecedent rush of visitors. The fair was held on the theme ‘’North to North East-Kashmir to Kohima” this year.
The fair, a joint venture of the Chandigarh Administration and the North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), brought together the culture, crafts and cuisines of both regions.
Folk artistes from various states presented dances and folklores.
The gaddi dance of Himachal Pradesh, bihu of Assam, ghasiari of Uttrakhand were presented today.
Mahavir Gudu from Haryana presented Haryanavi songs. His team also presented a “khoria” dance.
