Now, donate gifts for schools online

SRINAGAR: Education Minister Naeem Akhter today inaugurated the first online portal in Kashmir through which people can donate school kits, sports equipment or computers to the schools of their choice.

Education Minister Naeem Akhter today inaugurated the first online portal in Kashmir through which people can donate school kits, sports equipment or computers to the schools of their choice.

The initiative has been started by the Department of Education Kashmirin collaboration with kashmirbox.com, an e-commerce portal being run by city-based Muheet Mehraj.

“Support Education in Kashmir is a platform where you can online donate a school kit, sports equipment or a computer to a school of your choice,” said Director of School Education, Kashmir, Shah Faesal.

The minister booked first products for two schools of Tral and Pulwama which will be sent soon by the website which facilitates the delivery of products. The faculty of Amar Singh College booked items worth around Rs 50,000 for various schools in Srinagar. —TNS
