NSUI protests ‘errors’ in exam results

JAMMU: The National Students Union of India (NSUI) today submitted a memorandum to the Controller of Examination, University of Jammu (JU), regarding the alleged errors in the results of first semester students of BA/BSc/B Com.

The National Students Union of India (NSUI) today submitted a memorandum to the Controller of Examination, University of Jammu (JU), regarding the alleged errors in the results of first semester students of BA/BSc/B Com.

Taking up the issue, the NSUI, led by its former Doda district president and senior leader Vishal Kotwal, claimed that 23 students who secured good marks in the previous academic session had secured low marks in physics, chemistry and biology. Many students also staged protest outside various degree colleges.

The Controller of Examination assured the students that the JU had taken the matter seriously and suggested to the principals of winter zone colleges to file RTI and re-evaluate the papers of the aggrieved students.

The NSUI’s JU wing said if the issue would not be taken up properly by the authorities, then it would start protest and demonstration across various colleges and university for the welfare of students.

NSUI state president Neeraj Kundan said the Controller of Examination had assured all help and respective colleges principals were to forward the roll numbers of the aggrieved students.
