A 22-year-old patient was allegedly gangraped by four security guards at Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar, in Mewat yesterday.

The police have booked unidentified four persons under Sections 376 of the IPC. The victim, a mother of three, hails from Beewan village in Mewat and was brought to the hospital on June 1.

Her brother-in-law, in his complaint, said it was in the wee hours today he went to check on her and saw her bed empty. When he went looking for her, she was lying unconscious in another room. The victim said, “I was fast asleep when a security guard came to me and told me that my son was crying and my relatives were looking for me. He was a hospital security guard so I trusted him. He took me to a room near the lobby and starting pushing me inside. I resisted but then another security guard came and pulled me inside. One of them raped me and I fell unconscious. I don’t know how many people raped me.”
