Sundernagar, January 20
Congress-backed candidate Poonam Sharma has been named the president and BJP’s Deepak Sen vice-president of the Sundernagar Municipal Council.
The BJP has seven members in the 13-member House. But due to rift within two factions of the BJP, one candidate was elected from the Congress while the other from the BJP. Seven other members were administered oath by SDM Rajeev Kumar. Later, the members met Roop Singh Thakur, former BJP minister.
