Rain alert issued for seven districts

DEHRADUN:Uttarakhand is all set to experience another spell of heavy rain in the next 36 hours.

Dehradun, July 15

Uttarakhand is all set to experience another spell of heavy rain in the next 36 hours. The alert has been issued for seven districts  — four districts of Garhwal division and three of Kumaon division.

The Met Department office in Dehradun has issued heavy rain alert for isolated places in Uttarakashi, Pithoragarh, Tehri, Nainital, Pauri, Bageshwar and Dehradun districts during the next 36 hours.

The state administration has geared itself for the rains. 

In order to meet the exigencies and for prompt rescue operation, a helicopter each for Garhwal and Kumaon divisions has been kept on standby.

Meanwhile, capital city of Dehradun witnessed heavy rains on Sunday inundating low-lying areas alongside Rispana and Bindal rivers.
