Satpal seeks CM’s ouster

DEHRADUN: Former Union minister and BJP National Working Committee member Satpal Maharaj today said the government had lost majority as it had failed to pass its Budget in the state Assembly.

Dehradun, March 19

Former Union minister and BJP National Working Committee member Satpal Maharaj today said the government had lost majority as it had failed to pass its Budget in the state Assembly.

Satpal Maharaj in a statement issued today said Chief Minister Harish Rawat had no moral right to continue in the office as he no more enjoys majority in the House. He said people had lost faith in Harish Rawat and that was the only reason that nine of his MLAs rebelled.

He said 35 Uttarakhand MLAs met Governor KK Paul and informed him that they had voted against the Budget which amply revealed that the Budget had not been passed as being claimed by Assembly Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal. — TNS
