Snow tourism can be promoted in Munsiyari

Puran Pandey, a member of nature lovers’ group and hotelier in Munsiyari, says if the Madkot to Jauljibi Road is made operational during the winter, snow tourism could be promoted in Munsiyari where some peaks are covered with heavy snow. Tourists could be attracted for skiing at the Khuliya Top in Munsiyari. “Besides the track to Khuliya bugyals in Munsiyari, winter tourism could also be developed up to Dhakuri on the Pindari track in Bageshwar and up to the Narayan Ashram in Pithoragarh,” he says.—TNS
