Tension grips Satpuli over social media post

DEHRADUN:Tension gripped Satpuli town after an objectionable post on Kedarnath shrine went viral on social media.

Tension gripped Satpuli town after an objectionable post on Kedarnath shrine went viral on social media. The link was allegedly shared on social media by a boy whose family runs a vegetable shop in the area. A large number of activists belonging to right wing Hindu organizations, particularly the Bajrang Dal, vandalised vegetable shops. 

They were joined by members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarti Parishad. The police was called in to bring the situation under control. 

Pauri Senior Superintendent Police Jagat Ram Joshi said the matter was being probed and the individual, who posted the inflammatory post, was being identified. He said the SOG had been pressed into service and the situation was under control.

The police have registered a case. Satpuli is situated at a distance of 50 km from Pauri district headquarters.
