Translate research work to benefit public: Experts

KANGRA: A two-day North Zone Health Conclave on health research and demonstration of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) began today at Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (DRPGMC), Tanda.

A two-day North Zone Health Conclave on health research and demonstration of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) began today at Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (DRPGMC), Tanda.

Dr Vishwa Mohan Katoch, Former Secretary, Department of Health Research (DHR)-cum-Director General, ICMR, inaugurated the event.

He spoke about the importance of translating research work and making it public friendly.

Around 40 faculty members from medical colleges in the north are participating in the conclave.

Dr Anil Chauhan, Principal, DRPGMC, Tanda, welcomed the participants and experts from the ICMR.

He also spoke about research work being conducted by the faculty of the institution. Dr Ashish Joshi, heath informatics expert, spoke on intervention research experiences that are helpful in improving population health. — OC
