Sangrur, March 14
Former Punjab Finance Minister (FM) and Lehragaga MLA Parminder Dhindsa today toured 10 villages of the constituency to thank area residents for electing him.
Dhindsa said the SAD took many steps to control drugs and now they would support the Congress in containing drugs. “The Akalis arrested many smugglers. Now, we will help the Congress if it takes steps against drugs,” he said.
On AAP, he said a majority of voters rejected AAP and it could only win a few seats in some districts. He added that in future, AAP would not able to retain the votes it got in recent elections and the main contest would be between the SAD and Congress in future.
“Many NRIs tried their best to misguide Punjab residents by showing wrong facts and figures in favour of AAP, but Punjab residents rejected their claims,” said Dhindsa. — TNS
