Youths kill 45-yr-old man at Ram Darbar

CHANDIGARH:A 45-year-old man, a resident of Ram Darbar, was murdered after he was attacked with sharp-edged weapons by a group of youths, while his accomplice was seriously injured at Ram Dardar, Industrial Area, Phase II, on Sunday evening.

A 45-year-old man, a resident of Ram Darbar, was murdered after he was attacked with sharp-edged weapons by a group of youths, while his accomplice was seriously injured at Ram Dardar, Industrial Area, Phase II, on Sunday evening.

Sources said the victim, identified as Seetu, was strolling near his house with Brijesh when youths carrying swords and sharp-edged weapons attacked them near the Railway Bridge at Ram Darbar.

Sources said the accused also snatched the mobile phone and cash from Brijesh. 

The accused managed to flee from the spot. The passersby informed the police and victims were rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32.

Sources said that Seetu had blunt injuries on the body following which he succumbed to injuries. The condition of Brijesh is said to be critical.
