HPCC chief Ashok Tanwar has said that some INLD MLAs and prominent leaders of other opposition parties are in touch with him to join the Congress.

Reacting on the spat between Anil Vij and IPS officer Sangeeta Kalia, he said the Congress would raise the issue in the Assembly session beginning tomorrow.

Tanwar was interacting with mediapersons in Bahadurgarh town after a public meeting wherein former district HJC president Pt. Raj Singh Pahalwan joined the Congress. Pahalwan had unsuccessfully contested assembly poll on the HJC ticket from Bahadurgarh in 2009.

“The people are fed-up with the BJP government which has entirely failed to live up to their expectations. Some INLD MLAs and other prominent leaders of the BJP are in touch with me to join the Congress. Their names will be disclosed at an appropriate time,” said Tanwar.

Describing Vij’s behavior with SP Sangeeta Kalia as inappropriate, the HPCC chief said the issue would be raised in the Assembly session.

Endorsing the demand for a CBI inquiry into the alleged paddy scam raised by former CM Bhupinder Hooda, Tanwar asked the state government to provide succour to those farmers who had to suffer loss on selling their produce at lower rates.
