With the arrest of four youths, the district police on Wednesday claimed to have foiled the murder of Krishan Dhichaukala, brother of former INLD MLA Bharat Singh.

One of the accused was out on bail in the murder case of Vipin, a resident of Najafgarh, and an eyewitness in the murder Bharat Singh, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Surinder Singh Bhoria.

The SP said that on a tip-off, anti-snatching staff led by ASI Parveen Kumar arrested Aditya, Dinesh, Rohit, all residents of Dhichaukala at Najafgarh in Delhi, and Rampal, a resident of Rairkala in Panipat district, from the Kohand-Assandh road near Kutana village in the district on Tuesday. They were planning to loot commuters, he said.

During investigation, they confessed that they had brought firearms from Saharanpur to kill Krishan Dhichaukala. Aditya told the police that he was on bail in the murder of Vipin, who was an eyewitness. He further stated that his family members were in jail for murdering Bharat Singh in 2015 and he had to kill Krishan avenge the murders of his grandfather and uncle in 2002, said the SP said, and added that they were planning to kill Krishan next week.
