KURUKSHETRA: Chief Secretary DS Dhesi today inaugurated a photo gallery depicting various pilgrim sites of the traditional 48-kos yatra of Kurukshetra.

Chief Secretary DS Dhesi today inaugurated a photo gallery depicting various pilgrim sites of the traditional 48-kos yatra of Kurukshetra.

The colorful gallery has been established at the office of Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) at Brahma Sarovar here.

Dhesi also convened a meeting with top officials including the DGP, Home Secretary, KDB and the district authorities in view of the forthcoming visit of President Ram Nath Kovind on November 25 to inaugurate International Gita Mahotsav.

He said senior bureaucrat KK Khandelwal was working as a nodal officer for the Gita Jayanti festivities.

Dhesi inspected various sites to be visited by the President and instructed the local authorities to expedite renovation work.

Meanwhile, Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki will inaugurate Saras and Crafts Mela on Friday evening.
