Ambala, November 28
In order to mount pressure on the Centre for the construction of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has started a door-to-door campaign. People are being invited for a ‘Vishal Dharma Sabha - Shankhnaad’ to be organised at the Grain Market in Ambala City on Sunday.
VHP central minister Dharm Narayan will address the gathering.
The VHP is expecting a gathering of around 50,000 people from Ambala, Panchkula and Yamunanagar districts.
Speaking to mediapersons, VHP vibhag minister Satya Narayan Verma said, “We have an emotional connection with the birthplace of Lord Rama. We respect the Supreme Court but the delay in the decision is not acceptable. Crores of people in this country have been waiting for the decision. We invite everyone, even political people, for the dharma sabha but we will not allow any political person to use the stage.”
“It was decided by the senior leadership to hold ‘Sansadiya Kshetra Jansabhas’ and to submit memorandums to the Members of Parliament. The memorandums will be read by the saints on the stage and then, those will be submitted to MP Ratan Lal Kataria,” he said.
Verma said, “The pillars for the temple are being built at a workshop and about 90 per cent work is complete. The temple will be built within two months after getting permission whether the permission is given by the government or the public.”
To a query, Verma said, “We are not against any party or government. The VHP has been struggling for the construction of the temple and the VHP will help those who will help us in getting the temple constructed.”
He was accompanied by vibhag president Rajinder Bansal, prant vice-president Sushil Jain, and district president Samir Gupta.
