Shimla, February 3
Around 1,570 demands and complaints were received during the Jan Manch organised in the 10 districts of the state today. The programme was not organised in Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur districts due to bad weather conditions. Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary chaired Jan Manch programme in Shimla. Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj was present as a special guest. As many as 123 demands and complaints were received during the occasion.
Kullu
Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kishan Kapoor chaired the Jan Manch programme in Sainj Sub-Tehsil of Banjar constituency of Kullu district. In all 116 demands and complaints were presented out of which 55 were disposed of on the spot. The minister distributed 237 LPG connections to the beneficiary women and FDs amounting to Rs. 10,000 each to 17 girls under Beti Hai Anmol scheme. As many as 420 Him Care Cards were also prepared during the programme. MLA Surender Shaurie was also present.
Solan
Jan Manch was organised in Dangil panchayat In Solan district and presided over by Power Minister Anil Sharma. He directed the electricity board to install a transformer for the Takrana-Kurgal-Naura irrigation scheme within a month. He also directed that a 63 kv transformer should be put on a priority basis in Bakhor village of Dangil panchayat. He also assured villagers that matter of exclusion of seven panchayats of Chail area from TCP Act would be taken up with the government.
Sirmaur
The Jan Manch in Sirmour district was organised at Devthi- Majhgaon in Pachhad Assembly constituency in which 88 cases were received. While presiding over the function, Agriculture Minister Dr Ram Lal Markanda said that a market sub yard would be established to facilitate farmers of Rasumander and Pajhota areas. MLA Suresh Kashyap was also present.
Mandi
Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar presided over the function organised at Katola in Drang constituency of Mandi district. As many as 142 demands and complaints were received during the Jan Manch and the most of these were disposed of. MLA Jawahar Thakur was also present on this occasion.
Bilaspur
At Kandror in Bilaspur district, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal presided over the Jan Manch. As many as 345 demands and complaints were received during the Jan Manch in the district. He distributed 320 gas connections, various certificates and FDs under Beti Hai Anmol scheme.
Chamba
In Chamba district, Jan Manch was organized at Dugli in Churah Assembly constituency which was presided over by Deputy Speaker Hansraj who distributed LPG connections to around 36 beneficiaries. As many as 77 demands and complaints were received and most of them were redressed on the occasion.
Kangra
Under the Jan Manch programme at Baroh in Nagrota Bagwan, 140 grievances were redressed on the spot.Presiding over the programme, Industries and Technical Education Minister Bikram Thakur directed officers and employees to take this programme seriously.
Hamirpur
Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr Rajiv Bindal said that Jan Manch had proved an appropriate platform for direct communication between the people and the government. It is helping in resolving public grievances in an effective manner at their doorsteps. Bindal was presiding over the Jan Manch at Lambloo in Hamirpur district where 108 demands and complaints were received. The Speaker distributed free LPG connections to 20 beneficiary women. MLA Narender Thakur was also present.
