Congress anti-Modi rally in Shimla on Jan 17

KANGRA: As many as 500 Congress workers from the Shahpur Block Congress Committee have decided to attend the anti-Modi Congress rally at Chaura Maidan, Shimla, on January 17 and will also facilitate the newly elected president of the state Congress Committee.

As many as 500 Congress workers from the Shahpur Block Congress Committee have decided to attend the anti-Modi Congress rally at Chaura Maidan, Shimla, on January 17 and will also facilitate the newly elected president of the state Congress Committee.

Stating this here on Monday, Youth Congress leader Kewal Singh Pathania said that in a meeting at Rait it was resolved to thank AICC president Rahul Gandhi for the change of guard in the state by appointing Kuldeep Singh Rathore as the new Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee president for the better prospects of the party in the state. They also decided to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Rahthore in Shimla on the same day.

Pathania said the meeting at Rait was attended by senior Congress leader Dev Dutt Sharma, BCC Shahpur president Ashwani Chaudhary, Mahila Congress Block president Neena Thakur and other congress leaders and workers.
