Mock drill in Mandi to deal with landslide disasters

A mock drill was conducted by the Mandi district administration to deal with landslide disasters effectively. During the mock drill, it was shown that a tourist bus was caught in massive landslide near Pulghrat in Mandi district and efforts were on to conduct a rescue operation quickly and successfully.

It was part of a regular exercise of the district administration so that the team was ready for any eventuality as the district is prone to earthquake, landslide and road fatalities.

Rugved Thakur, DC, Mandi, said “Mandi is a sensitive district, which is prone to natural calamities. The district administration is fully equipped to deal with such situations effectively. We conduct mock drills from time to time.”
