Panchayat secys say no to new pension plan

The panchayat secretaries of the Jaswan Pragpur Assembly segment continue to protest the inclusion of panchayat secretaries of the zila parishad members into the new pension scheme.

Demanding that the zila parishad members be covered under the old scheme, the panchayat secretaries met in Pragpur to discuss the details of the new scheme announced by the state government in 2008.

At the meeting, which was attended by Sourab Vaid, state vice-president of New Pension Scheme Association, and former district president Anurood Guleria, they alleged that the government had implemented the new scheme for panchayat secretaries of zila parishad cadre but in most of the development blocks of the district they were not being benefited.
