Priorities meetings of MLAs on Feb 8, 9

SHIMLA: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will preside over meetings with the MLAs for fixing their priorities in the annual budget for the year 2018-19 at state Secretariat, Shimla, on February 8 and 9.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will preside over meetings with the MLAs for fixing their priorities in the annual budget for the year 2018-19 at state Secretariat, Shimla, on February 8 and 9.

Priority demands of MLAs regarding roads, bridges and small irrigation and drinking water supply schemes have been invited for consideration so as to incorporate them in the budget, a spokesman of the state government said here today.

The issues regarding generating more resources, better administration and taking up steps for containing expenditure on various heads would also be discussed with MLAs in the meeting, he added.

The meeting with MLAs of Solan, Sirmour and Shimla districts will be held from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm while the meeting with MLAs of Mandi, Kullu and Bilaspur districts would be held from 2 pm to 5 pm on February 8.

The meeting with MLAs of Kangra, Lahaul & Spiti and Kinnaur districts would be held from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm whereas the meeting with MLAs of Chamba, Una and Hamirpur districts would be held from 2 pm to 5 pm on February 9, he said.
