UNA: In view of the expected rush of devotees for the Kumbh fair in Allahabad, the Railways today announced a special express train between Amb-Andaura and Prayag Ghat stations during the fair.

In view of the expected rush of devotees for the Kumbh fair in Allahabad, the Railways today announced a special express train between Amb-Andaura and Prayag Ghat stations during the fair.

The holy dips that assume significance during the Kumbh fair are on Makar Sankranti or first ‘Shahi Snaan’ (January 14 and 15), Posh Purnima (January 21), Mauni Amavasya or second ‘Shahi Snaan’ (February 4), Basant Panchami (February 10), Maghi Purnima (February 19) and Maha Shivratri on March 4.

According to the time table of the special train released by the Railways, train No. 04512 with 18 coaches will leave Amb-Andaura at 4.10 am on January 19, February 8 and March 2, and reach Prayag Ghat station at 2 am the next day.

On its return journey, train No. 04511 will start from Prayag Ghat station at 10.30 pm on January 21, February 10 and March 4 and reach Amb-Andaura the next day at 8.10 pm.

The train will have one reserved three-tier AC coach, four reserved sleeper coaches, 11 ordinary unreserved coaches, besides two seating-cum-luggage rack coaches. — OC
