Army Gen reviews Kashmir security

SRINAGAR: As the Valley continues to be on the edge, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, visited Kashmir Valley today to review the prevailing security situation in the region.

As the Valley continues to be on the edge, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, visited Kashmir Valley today to review the prevailing security situation in the region.

Lt Gen Singh reinforced the need to be fully prepared to defeat the evil designs of the enemy and the anti-national forces, an Army statement said. The Army Commander accompanied by the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen KJS Dhillon visited formation/units in North Kashmir deployed along the Line of Control and hinterland.

“He was briefed about the recent counter infiltration and counter terrorist operations as also the overall security situation by respective commanders on ground,” the Army statement said. — TNS
