The family and relatives of a driver, whose body was recovered from a stream in Lamberi village of Rajouri district, on Tuesday blocked the Jammu-Poonch highway near Sunderbani.

The 29-year-old driver had gone missing from his home on December 2 and his body was found late Monday from a nullah in Lamberi village. The driver has been identified as Ram Chander, alias Vicky, of Siot tehsil in Nowshera subdivision.

According to the police, the body was handed over to the family for performing the last rites after the autopsy. In the morning, the family of the driver blocked the Jammu-Poonch highway, alleging that Chander was murdered and demanded that the culprits should be punished. — TNS
