Need task force for Chenab valley’s growth: MLC

KISHTWAR: Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Firdous Tak has demanded immediate constitution of a special task force to deal with development issues of far-off and remote areas of the Chenab valley.

Kishtwar, October 18

Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Firdous Tak has demanded immediate constitution of a special task force to deal with development issues of far-off and remote areas of the Chenab valley.

The PDP leader also favoured an outcome-based approach for the development of remote and far-off places of the Chenab valley and said it was high on his agenda to see every nook and corner getting its due share in terms of development and progress. He said this while interacting with people and party workers during his visits to remote Nowpachi, Teller, Machna, Chainjer, Paithgam, Yurdu, Astangam and Qaderna villages of Marwah in Kishtwar district.

“There is an immediate need to constitute a special task force for the Chenab valley to work out tangible measures to bring this neglected region out of remoteness, backwardness and to improve the living standards of the people,” Tak said. — TNS
