Jammu, December 6

Ex-MLC Dr Shehnaz Ganai has condemned Pakistan for ceasefire violations along the LoC in Poonch where many civilians have been injured.

She urged the government to provide medical treatment free of cost and compensation to the injured persons. Dr Ganai urged the government to consider the recommendation of the State Legislative Council which has passed a resolution for providing five marlas to the families living near the LoC.

She expressed concern over the allocation of only 1,300 to 1,400 bunkers in Poonch and urged the Lt-Governor that the matter needed to be looked into again as there were more than 38,000 people living closed to the LoC.
