Restore security of NC leaders: Gupta

Jammu: State secretary of the National Conference (NC) Rattan Lal Gupta on Wednesday expressed concern over the withdrawal of security cover to protectee party leaders and said this had impeded the political activity across the state. “The move can put the lives of political activists in jeopardy”, said Gupta. The NC leader said despite the formation of an empowered committee by the Governor for review, no forward movement had been registered so far.  “We hope that the Governor will pass on immediate instructions for restoring the security cover of the protectee leaders”, said Gupta.
