Unabated power theft

.

Power theft continues unabated in Jammu where the Power Development Department (PDD) has not laid aerial bunched cables, which is the main reason for burning of distribution transformers. In parts of old city, especially in the Pir Mitha area, residents have been demanding laying of new covered cables to prevent theft, which could also solve the issue of voltage fluctuation. We urge the PDD to take steps in this regard. —Darshan Kumar, Peer Mitha

Beautify flyover

About a year ago, the JDA and the JMC had started a beautification drive in Jammu by painting pillars of the Bikram Chowk flyover, but no such step has been taken for the Jewel chowk-Bus Stand flyover. The administration should take steps to complete the project and it should not have been stopped midway. It is important to make the city green, clean and beautiful. —Mohit Sharma, Canal Road

Is a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?
