The city unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today held a protest by wearing garlands made of onions. The protest was held outside the District Administrative Complex (DAC) in the evening against inflation and skyrocketing prices of onions. The members were raising slogans against the Centre and the state government.

They said the governments were not doing anything to control inflation due to which people had been suffering a lot.The members said the government must learn a lesson from the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi Government.

“How education and medical facilities are provided to people in the capital. The Delhi Government has made it possible for the middle class and lower middle class to afford these basic facilities,” they said.

One of the party members said the state was not in a good condition at present.

“People voted for them but what are they doing in return, nothing. Instead, the poor are being punished due to the inflation,” he said.

They also gave a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, urging him to look after such issues.

Dr Shivdayal Mali was leading the protest.
