Referring to the tweet urging the family members of former Punjab CM Beant Singh to forgive his killers, the Congress spokesperson Nimisha Mehta demanded the dismissal of Sukhpal Singh Khaira from the post of leader of opposition party.

Attacking Sukhpal’s recent tweet advocating forgiveness for the convicts of the former CM, Nimisha Mehta said Khaira must explain the reasons for advocating forgiveness for these terrorists who have been convicted by court of law.

Leader of opposition party is a constitutional post and being on this position, one should not be issuing such irresponsible statements to stand for terror convicts.

Nimisha Mehta alleged that AAP leader Khaira is asking people to forgive terrorists and here Punjab police has nabbed Amarjeet Singh who has admitted that he was funding Babbar Khalsa terrorist like Ramandeep Singh Sunny to buy material to make bombs and illicit arms to spread terror all at the behest of Beant Singh assasin Jagtar Singh Tara.

Congress spokesperson said this act of Sukhpal Singh Khaira had once more made it clear that the kind of intentions AAP has for Punjab. Even their leader Arvind Kejriwal had stayed at the residence of Moga-based terrorist of Khalistan commando force named, Gurinder singh currently settled in UK.

Nimisha also said khaira and party are supporting such anti-national and anti-social elements to get “Bheekh” in dollars and pounds from handful of such people sitting abroad. She warned the AAP leadership to refrain from such cheap and low tactics of gaining publicity and funds at the cost of peace of Punjab. Nimisha Mehta also said the families of Hindus were brutally killed and terrorised by these terrorist outfits during the black days of terrorism.
