Jalandhar, June 6

A car driver had a miraculous escape after his car caught fire at BMC Chowk here today.

Rakesh Khanna, a resident of Jalandhar, said he was heading towards market in his Toyota Corolla and the moment he stopped his car, smoke suddenly started billowing out from the engine. In no time, the car caught fire. He immediately alighted from the car and rang up the Fire Brigade. It was only after a fire tender reached there that the flames were doused. The entire car engine was damaged in the fire.—TNS
