Jalandhar: Mechanical engineering students of the sixth semester at CT Polytechnic College designed an intelligent braking system with power control brake system. It applies the brake after detecting anything in front of the vehicle instantly. The team of students included Sonu Saurav, Ramandeep, Jatinder Chopra, Naresh, Sumit, Prakash, Sompat, Saket, Kunal and Ujjwal under the guidance of Munish Digra. After the successful working of the prototype, students are going to implement the project in a car. The use of sensors, manipulators and executors in the project would help to decrease the number of accidents because of nap issues. Gautam Kocher, Principal, CT Polytechnic College, said automobiles manufacturers were largely adopting smart electronic features and gadgets to enhance sale and popularity of their products and that the project was an attempt in that direction. tns
