Experts dwell on teachings of Guru Nanak

A one-day international conference on ‘Vaishvikaran De Yug Vich Guru Nanak Bani Di Prasangikta’ was held at the PCM SD College for Women here on Wednesday under UGC’s ‘Epoch Making Scheme of Social Thinkers’ in collaboration with the Guru Nanak Study Centre and the Punjab Bhawan, Surrey, Canada, to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.

Sukhi Bath, founder, Punjab Bhawan, Surrey, Canada, was the chief guest. Nirmal Pandhi, OSD, Guru Nanak Dev University College, Verka, was the guest of honour. Dr SP Singh, former Vice-Chancellor, GNDU, Amritsar, was the distinguished guest and Dr HS Bhatia, former director, Academic Staff College, GNDU, Amritsar, was the keynote speaker. Two journals ‘Pravas Te Pravasi Sahit’ and ‘Sachiyar’ were released on the day. — OC
