Ravinder Dhir president of the Veopar Sena, Jalandhar, has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he has asked to reconsider his decision to implement goods and services tax (GST) across the country.

In the letter, Dhir has mentioned the PM’s speech in Netherlands where he addressed Indians and said the government in India was run by 125 crore people.

Dhir has written that if that was right that the country was being run by people then what about GST that is going to be implemented in the country due to which industrialists will suffer a lot.

“The government is taking such decision in the name of the GSTN council,” Dhir has written.

Dhir said: “Industrialists from various parts of the country should have been called in the council and the decision should have been taken afterwards.”

“I want the Prime Minister to reconsider the decision of implementation of the tax as it seems that the GST is being imposed on us forcefully and it will make industrialists suffer,” he said.
