Jalandhar, July 21
Two persons were nabbed with 52 kg of poppy husk and over Rs 1 lakh in cash here today. During investigation, 2 kg of poppy husk was also seized.
Two accomplices of the suspects escaped from the spot. Those arrested have been identified as Sunny of Maqsudan, and Shonki, a resident of Hardyal Nagar, here, were arrested by the police.
Nabbed near the Alawalpur village in an Innova car (bearing registration No. PB 11 BA 8508) their accomplices Raj Kumar and Ravi, residents of Maqsudan, absconded.
Another Tata Safari vehicle (bearing registration No. PB 08 AY 5351) was also recovered by the police after interrogating the suspects. A case has been registered.
